Marion E. Brooks
Your Executive Coach
As a certified Executive Coach and corporate executive, my commitment is to provide the tools and strategies the 5% of people considered high potentials receive, with the 95% of people that do not get access to the same level of training, support, and mentorship that is necessary in order to advance. What most people DO NOT KNOW is actually killing their careers and any chance of advancement or fulfillment in what they do. As a result, people move from company to company after being fired for poor attitude and performance. Or, they quit and work for other companies that offer them recognition for their efforts and the clarity that they need in order to advance in their role.
Turnover and productivity issues cost companies millions of dollars in human capital; in addition, individuals suffer the consequences from having to constantly change jobs, only to find that their problems haven’t changed, and their careers aren’t advancing.
My hope is to change all of that, and make the workplace a more productive and supportive place where both employees and their leadership can thrive. With the four steps that I provide in my upcoming book, coaching and mentoring sessions, and keynotes and workshops, I hope to break this cycle and make inclusion and support the new norm in Corporate America.
What you don’t know…
According to the Harvard Business Review, only 5% percent of employees are identified as high potential. High potentials get access to training, tools, and support that other employees do not receive, which inevitably positions them for success with an advantage in an already competitive environment. As someone who was identified as a high potential early in my career, I benefited from additional training, coaching, and mentorship throughout my career from both my family and my mentors. I have seen firsthand how this affected various members of the teams that I have managed.
As a leader who has been responsible for generating nearly $1 billion in annual sales, I used the same tools and techniques that I’ve learned over the last 20 years of my career, to coach and mentor my team. As a result, the overall morale of my team has increased and they are excelling due to the framework that we’ve put in place, which gives them the direction that they need in order to see the possibility of success in their future. As a result of my methodologies, my teams and I have won numerous awards for our performance, we’ve seen consistent increases period over period, and our turnover is minimal.
Executive Career Development
In my career, executive coaching was a game changer. I was provided a number of tools and techniques that have helped me become a better manager, leader, business executive (and yes, there is a difference between them all), father, mentor, and person overall. As I began to see the results of the shift in my ability to lead, I created additional tools and methodologies that I use today in order to help my team and those that I coach succeed.
I’ve coached and had the opportunity to speak and provide guidance to a range of people. From seasoned career professionals, to college students that are just about to enter the workforce, to entrepreneurs, actors and politicians. The four crucial principles that I’ve built my training upon are universal and will support anyone looking to succeed.
Middle managers, also known as the “squeeze suite” tend to have the worst luck as this is where most professionals hit their plateau. While they excel at the work that they do as individuals, their leadership is often ineffective. These managers have usually never had formal leadership training, and are placed into management positions without a blueprint for success. They lack the ability to motivate others, and are unaware of their own emotional intelligence and communication deficiencies that are impacting their personal and professional productivity. After seeing managers on my team consistently struggle in this area, I made a commitment to help people in this role move into leadership by teaching about the principles of Emotional Intelligence as well as helping them understand how personal responsibility can lead to more effective results.
I provide coaching and consulting to managers and teams which results in:
- Reduced turnover and reported HR issues.
- Clear career roadmapping and strategies which provides the exact steps that they will need in order to move the next level.
- Improvement in performance, as we deep dive on ways to improve communications and collaboration with others, in order to get the results that they are looking for.
- Boosted morale and productivity among leaders and their teams.
- And more.
In my upcoming book I provide the what, why, and most important – HOW to master the four Keys to accelerate your career. The book is clearly written, easy to read, has impactful examples, and is filled with credible information, techniques, and tools. With coaching and mentorship, I provide custom solutions and actionable steps that will help guarantee your success and upward mobility in your company or wherever you career path takes you.

I’m so thankful for the support that I’ve had in my life thus far. I am well aware that without the mentorship from my grandmother, and her faith in me as a leader, I wouldn’t have achieved the level of success that I have today. Not everyone is as lucky to have had that level of support, and unfortunately, most who don’t – end up not living up to their fullest potential.
As a father who has raised four girls (my biological daughter and my three nieces) , I’ve always known that my calling is to help others in the pursuit of success. As an expert in emotional intelligence, corporate culture and career development, paired with my extensive experience in Management, Sales, Marketing, and Training and Development, my goal is to help people at all levels achieve success beyond their wildest expectations.
My life’s purpose is to take the hundreds of hours and tens of thousands of dollars worth of coaching and mentorship that I’ve received, and pay it forward, in an effort to level the playing field for those that hope to leave a positive legacy. I know the power of great coaching. It not only improves your professional success, but it also contributes to your personal excellence, while having a lasting impact on the relationships that you cherish most. I’m so very excited for those of you that have chosen to join me on this journey.
